We’re back to another farming guide in Warframe and this time around, it’s for Yao Shrub. It happens to be the only thing stopping you from building your Incarnon weapon for the week. You’ll need dozens or even hundreds of Yao Shrubs depending on which Incarnon weapon you need. So to speed up the process, here’s our optimal Yao Shrub farming guide and tips for Warframe.

Where to Get Yao Shrub

You can find them clustered up on the Southeastern island of Duviri. Look for actual shrubs or plants that glow. Refer to the image above for the Yao Shrub’s appearance.

Additionally, here’s a map guide of where all the Yao Shrubs are in Warframe, complete with a sequence to minimize your confusion. Start from the teleporter near Soprano Springs and follow the line to make sure you don’t miss some of them.

Remember that Yao Shrubs only grow on the surface; don’t bother looking for them in caves or underground. Yao Shrubs thankfully appear in all of the Duviri cycles.

Each shrub or plant can drop three to five ‘Yao Shrub’ and seeing as there’s a total of around 22 of them all over Duviri, you can get around 60 to 100 per run. Each Incarnon weapon that demands Yao Shrubs requires around 70 Yao Shrubs, by the way.

How to Get Yao Shrub Fast

For faster and more efficient farming, you can just shoot the shrubs with your ranged weapon and then come near it to pick it up. Additionally, we recommend looking for them in the air as they’re easier to spot that way; they’re the only plants on the ground with color, usually during the Anger phase in Duviri.

There are also other methods to get Yao Shrub outside of the Duviri open-world. Here are some alternatives, but don’t rely on them as foraging for them in Duviri is still faster.

  • Steel Path Circuit runs have a chance to reward 60 Yao Shrubs
  • You can pick up a few Yao Shrubs from the small garden in the Undercroft area before picking your Warframe and weapons.

For a final tip, you’ll want to pick Decrees that will increase your movement speed or parkour speed (even though you’re using the operator), and make sure to fully upgrade your horse in Duviri.
