Warframe’s Fantasy Sister Game, Soulframe, Opens Up for Preludes Access: ‘Join Us’

Body and soul are ready

Soulframe had somewhat of a polarizing reveal back in July’s 2024 TennoCon, mainly due to the combat and animation issues. The good news is that its developers, Digital Extremes, are now inviting you to join them in the development process with their Preludes access for Soulframe. This Preludes test is bigger than ever, with a capacity for increments of 10,000 players each week.

The announcement came from Soulframe‘s main forum. Sarah Asselin, Digital Extremes’ Community Manager, posted an invitation for the Soulframe Prelude. Each week, Digital Extremes will choose 2,000 players to join the Preludes.

Furthermore, each one of those 2,000 chosen players will also receive four invitation codes which they can share with others. Assuming each player shares it with four people, the number could easily balloon to 10,000 players each week.

Here’s the exact invitation from Digital Extremes:

“Welcome, brave soul, to the Isle of Midrath. By invitation or by chance, youโ€™ve been called to join us in the Soulframe Preludesโ€”a place still forming, with echoes of what is still to come.

Each week, 2,000 Envoys who have signed up on soulframe.com are welcomed into Preludes. With each invite email comes an additional four (4) invitation codes to share.”

It’s not clear how they will handle players who get duplicate invites or players who got invited but have already received an invitation code from another lucky player.

Regardless, Soulframe is not a complete game yet and is still under development. It has no release date in sight yet. For all we know, the Preludes might be more of a network stress test than anything with how many people they’re planning to bring in.

Soulframe is also a free-to-play MMORPG and serves as the fantasy counterpart to Digital Extremes’ sci-fi looter shooter Warframe. The latter has been going strong for more than a decade.

How to Join Soulframe Preludes

You can either ask your friend circle whether they got invited by Digital Extremes or you can sign up to ensure that you’re on the roulette.

Here’s the sign-up for the Soulframe website. If you have a lucky friend and they gave you a code, however, you can go here to redeem the code and get access to the Preludes. It will ask you to sign in first, of course.
