Ezra Miller has had quite the hard time lately. For those unaware, it all started at the end of March. Miller was arrested for some disorderly conduct at a Hawaiian karaoke bar. Since then, people online have been abuzz about what this might mean for his career. Some news sources have claimed that Ezra Miller is on the chopping block for release from the DCEU. This would make him the third Justice League member to leave their world. However, it seems that these rumors are just that. Warner Bros came forward today, relaying that any rumors about the release of Ezra Miller are false.
Miller Was On the Rocks, But He Isn’t Leaving
Understandably, this incident with Ezra Miller caused some waves. Miller had screamed at some karaoke patrons when they were singing. He’d also ripped the mic away from someone midsong. And worst of all, he almost assaulted someone even after being told to cool off. At the moment, Miller has not commented on his reasoning behind this incident. This put his future in the DCEU in jeopardy, with an emergency meeting occurring on March 30. Many speculated that this could pertain to claims of Ezra Miller’s release. According to sources, all future works were paused. Fans even lined up Grant Gustin (of the CW Arrowverse) as the next potential Flash.
In the end, it seems any claims about this mysterious meeting are false. Warner Bros has denied any rumors of Ezra Miller’s release. Instead, the meeting was merely to discuss the possibilities of his future and what this incident could do to his career. Incidentally, Miller is just too important to the DCEU to be let go at this time. The Flash, now releasing next July, is expected to act as a revival of the DCEU. And if the star of the film were to leave before release, there goes another prospect. Hopefully, Miller’s second chance here will pay off.
