Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 battle royale added a new Tarkov-like PvPvE mode called the DMZ mode. In this open-world arena named Al Mazrah, you and your team can complete objectives and engage The Chemist AI boss during the Radiation circle to unlock the M13B Assault Rifle. To be able to fight The Chemist without too many problems, here’s where to find Gas Masks and counteract the Radiation effects in Warzone 2.0 DMZ mode.

Warzone 2.0 DMZ: Gas Masks Location

Buy Station to sell items in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 DMZ

In the DMZ mode, you can obtain Gas Masks from two different sources:

  1. From Caches and Duffel Bags, just like other loots.
  2. Or buy them from Buy Stations using Cash.

As you can expect, finding a Gas Mask from common loot sources depends on your luck and how the RNG rolls. However, if you intend to buy a Gas Mask, Warzone 2.0 brought some changes to how the Buy Station works. This time around, the item list is randomized between each Shop, and each item has a limited quantity. With that in mind, you might need to go from one Buy Station to another to find a Gas Mask, not to mention that the item could have been bought by other players/groups and sold out.

Nevertheless, if you managed to Exfil with a Gas Mask and select items equipped, you will keep them for subsequent DMZ runs. Keys that are used to open locked buildings and hidden areas are also saved for the next DMZ runs. But items are lost on death, and most of them will be converted into XP once you start another match.

Counteract Radiation in Warzone 2.0

Once you have been poisoned by Radiation, there are also two ways to counteract its effect:

  1. Using Iodine Pills, a new Field Upgrade.
  2. Or using Radiation Blockers.

You should be able to find Radiation Blockers in Medicine and First-Aid Kit Cabinets in various houses and/or bathrooms, just like Stims and Bandages throughout the DMZ mode map. The item will make you resistant to the Radiation effect for 2 minutes or 120 seconds. Equip the Radiation Blocker item from your Backpack to use it.
