Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded is about to start, and Activision has announced official info about the new update. Several changes and additions are coming to the game in the last reloaded update of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 season. These include new weapons, a fresh Resurgence mode experience, a collection of new DMZ missions, and a balancing update on the weapons meta. Here’s everything you need to know about MW2, DMZ, and Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded update.
The Lachmann Family is About to Get Bigger
First things first, three new weapons are coming in MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded. These weapons are in the SMG, Pistol, and Melee categories. The shiniest of them all is the new Lachmann Shroud. This new SMG looks much like the good old MP5 from the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. It’s good to know this weapon shoots in burst mode as default.
Aside from the Lachmann Shroud SMG, however, we have a good competitor for the P819 pistol — the 9mm Daemon. This pistol is a semi-automatic weapon waiting to be dual-wielded by Lara Croft. The famous Tomb Raider is going to be in Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded, and she’s also bringing her Pickaxe with her. The Pickaxe will be added as a new Melee weapon, also available with the skin in the new Tomb Raider bundle.
Tomb Raider is Here in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded
Lara Croft, the main character and protagonist of the Tomb Raider franchise, is on her way to Call of Duty on September 9. This character fits the most among the operators, rather than the rats, cats, and bunnies. However, she’s not the only one coming in Warzone and MW2 Season 5 Reloaded.
One more rapper is joining the board in Season 5, and he’s the 21 Savage. Many gamers remember him for the famous track he had for Mortal Kombat 11. But now he’s here in CoD, celebrating the 50 years of Hip Hop music with Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj. Now, is that all for the Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded operators? No. Another Shadow is also joining the squad.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone players remember the Mace operator pretty well; now he’s making a return! This character is joining the board via a bundle, and players can purchase it to have another Shadow Company member at their service.
Al Bagra Fortress Is the New Resurgence Map in Season 5 Reloaded
Aside from all the new operators and weapons, a new Resurgence map is coming to Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded. Remember the Al Bagra Fortress, a small island on the south side of the Al Mazrah? Well, the AQ soldiers have decided, and they’re turning it into a Resurgence map just like that.
This new map is a “smaller Al Mazrah” experience. All the Al Bagra Fortress details are kept the same as the original map. This is more like the mini-royal game mode from the previous seasons but in the Resurgence spawn rate.
New DMZ Missions Inbound
Every DMZ fan has been waiting for a new bunch of DMZ missions. The Shadow Company faction was added to the game in Season 5 a month ago. Unlike the other factions, Shadows only offered 2 tiers of missions at that time. However, now this rate is going up to 5 tiers, which means a total of 21 new missions will become available in Warzone 2 DMZ Season 5 Reloaded.
The details on the Call of Duty blog about these missions are Redacted. But it’s mentioned that it has something to do with the Rhino commander and the recent MW3 Shadow Siege event. This event opened a new bunker under Zaya Observatory, meaning there’ll be many new objectives to do there. Valuable rewards are also given by completing these missions, which are probably new weapon blueprints and operator skins like the previous Seasons.
That’s it for all the new content coming to Warzone 2 in Season 5 Reloaded. There will be changes to the weapons balance and the meta with this update as well. But as of right now, there are no details on S5 Reloaded patch notes to know that.
