Call of Duty: Warzone‘s fourth season, Mercenaries of Fortune, introduces a new twist to the Plunder Mode with Golden Plunder. Here, teams are pitted against each other to collect bags of gold, and the one who reaches $5,000,000 wins the game. Nevertheless, instead of finding gold bars, COD Warzone players are often greeted by an error message that indicates a server issue and ends up getting kicked in the middle of heated Golden Plunder matches.
How to Fix COD Warzone Golden Plunder Mode Server Issue
If you are one of the unlucky players who encountered the server connection issue error message below and got kicked while playing COD Warzone‘s latest mode, don’t panic.
“Error: Lost connection to Host/Server. Connection timed out.”
It is a server problem that’s currently affecting random players and is not the fault of your copy or consoles. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Activision, Raven Software, and Infinity Ward are yet to acknowledge the issue. And only one known fix has been discovered among COD Warzone players.
On Reddit, several players reported that simply rebooting their PC or console or restarting COD Warzone might fix the Golden Plunder Mode server issue. You might also want to refresh your router or modem by unplugging the machine for 5 minutes.
Thankfully this problem does not affect other game modes. While you wait for a hotfix or patch, you might want to play other modes in the meantime. In case you’re having trouble connecting to matches in COD Warzone, don’t forget to keep an eye on:
- COD Warzone public server status page.
- PlayStation Network service status page.
- Xbox server status page.
As well as COD‘s social media accounts like Twitter to see if Raven Software and/or Infinity Ward have patched the Warzone‘s Golden Plunder Mode server issue.
