Warzone Season 2 has started, and the walking dead are here in the Fortune’s Keep. You get to experience a bit of a free Zombies mode in Warzone Season 2 and earn valuable rewards by progressing through the Horde Hunt event. So while the MW3 Zombies has nothing new to offer in Season 2, you can play the Hordepoint multiplayer mode and enjoy shooting down the undead in Warzone Fortune’s Keep to gain the Killshot free operator skin.

Mastery – Completing Three of Four Phases: Killshot Swagger Operator Skin

The Horde Hunt event in Warzone and MW3 Season 2 comes in four different phases to complete. Each part has separate rewards and requires you to kill and loot a specified type of zombie in the game. For the first phase, you’ll need to kill normal zombies and collect the bones they drop. And for the second phase, you’ll have to kill armored zombies and pick their skulls. The third and fourth phases are not active as of writing.

The rewards for the first phase are for the MW3 Zombies mode, as all its rewarding items are only useable in that game mode. There are some mystery items with no clue, as well, which seems to be a bug for some reason. So, while you might think this is an exclusive event for MWZ, you should note that there’s a mastery reward for completing three phases, which is a free operator skin. The Killshot Swagger operator skin is for the players who complete the task of killing enough zombies, hellhounds, and mimics.

Farming zombie bones and skulls for the Horde Hunt event is an easy task in both MW3 and Warzone. There are certain game modes in each title, allowing players to hunt the undead.

  • MW3: If you own the MW3 game, hop into the Multiplayer mode and choose Hordepoint: Armored Apocalypse. This is a returning game mode from Call of Duty: WWII, where you play the Hardpoint with zombies and an enemy team of players. There are a ton of zombies spawning in this game mode, and every one of them will drop bones and skulls for you to achieve. You could also play the MWZ, but it takes more time to fill the bars, and not every zombie drops you the points.
  • Warzone: You can collect bones and skulls in Warzone for the Horde Hunt event by completing the Eradication zombies contracts in the Fortune’s Keep. These contracts mark a corpse for investigation, which will then lead you to a nest where you need to destroy three cysts and kill zombies.

Now, while you can grind in both Warzone and MW3 for the Season 2 Horde Hunt event, the Hordepoint Multiplayer mode is a faster way to gain zombie bones and skulls. Each game takes under 10 minutes to complete, and if you’re sharp, 500 bones and 70 skulls is the minimum wage.
