From releasing event weapons on pay-to-win bundles to featuring operator skins that actually have an advantage when they’re hard to spot on the map, Call of Duty has always packed controversial items in its pocket. And just when Black Ops 6 Warzone drains in its sea of problems, a new pay-to-win crossover operator skin is released. Awesome.

In a cold crossover, Call of Duty has featured two new Terminator operator skins, dropping the T-800 into the party. However, one of these skins, which is the robotic form of the character, is so damn hard to spot on certain spots of the maps, like in the buildings and under the shadows. The skin is dark, and it’s got gaps in between its wires and metal endoskeleton structure that makes it pay-to-win in Warzone and BO6. Price tag? 3000 CP, AKA, $30.

The sad part is, this isn’t the first time we’re getting such skins in the game, however, the two controversial operator skins before this were both in the Battle Pass. First, there was the Roze’s Rook skin from MW 2019 that took too damn long to nerf. And then, we had Gaia from MW2 2022 which was like a skinny version of Groot from Marvel.
The T-800 Endo Titanium Core is the pay-to-win operator skin that players can currently take advantage of in Warzone before Treyarch and Raven notice the issue and pull the plug. On top of that, Black Ops 6 is also introducing bundles for almost every new weapon as soon as they’re out on the Battle Pass or events. This would result in some players gaining the advantage of having that gun before others progress in the BP or complete an event to reach the free reward.
As expected, fans don’t like fighting an enemy operator that’s super hard to see on Rebirth Island’s Control Center even if they have Nvidia filters on. “They know people will pay for an advantage,” and it makes me wonder if the developers are tasked with adding these controversial skins to the game on purpose. Some fans are just like “I’ll be back,” leaving the game until it’s fixed. As of right now, nothing has changed about the new Terminator pay-to-win operator skin in Warzone and Black Ops 6.
