A family in Washington got a shocking and disgusting surprise recently when they took a trip to their local Burger King for a quick meal. The pair took to social media to share their story, claiming that their drink was much more than just the lemonade they ordered. Instead, they were convinced that someone had contaminated the drink before giving it to them in their order, and they were understandably upset by the situation.
In one of the TikTok videos made about the situation, the Washington woman records her husband standing outside of the Burger King waiting for them to open the door. When an employee finally comes to speak to them, he’s seen explaining to her what they believe happened.
Meanwhile, his wife remains in the vehicle. She records the calm and quiet interaction as she explains to the camera that they were given the drink, and one of her children took a sip. Her son then revealed that the lemonade tasted weird and handed it to his father. The dad then claimed that the drink smelled awful and the family determined that someone must have contaminated it before selling it to them.
Washington Family Makes Disgusting Claims Against Local Burger King
The man remains composed as he opens the lid of the cup and the employee looks inside. She then leaves and closes the door. He then tells his wife that the employee didn’t seem to believe his story and that she couldn’t be sure if the drink had been tampered with either by someone working at the location or after it was given to him in his order.
When the Burger King employee returns she is holding a new drink. The man takes the drink, opens the lid and sniffs it. He then takes a sip, and tells her that this one tastes normal before handing it back to her and telling her that he doesn’t want it. She takes the cup and returns to her job.
The man seems baffled by the interaction, and decides that he’s going to throw the original cup away, revealing he doesn’t know what to do with it. However, many in the comment section revealed that they should have kept the cup, taken it to the police or a hospital to be tested. Others revealed that they should sue or call the health department about the matter.
“I would sue but then at that moment I’d get my money back,” one person commented. Some claimed that the video was fake. “Yo yall got problems. I’d have the police there instantly. Not asking for another drink. This is fake for views,” one comment read. “Nah cause he’s too calm,” another agreed.
In a follow-up video, the Washington woman says that she has contacted the health department and that they are doing an investigation into the matter.
