In a perfect world, people wouldn’t come to blows over anything; neighbors would live side by side in harmony. But we aren’t in a perfect world, and a Washington man has proven that once again, losing his patience with his neighbors’ dogs who keep ruining his plants. Now, quite whether he’s spoken to them about this before is unclear. What we do know is that he wrote warnings on three different papers. Maybe two weren’t enough? Maybe this will get his neighbors to prevent their dogs from going toward his plants, or the dogs will end up eating the paper as they use the plants as a litter box.
On three different papers, the Washington man is warning his neighbors and their dogs to stay away from his plants. The first paper states, “Your f**king dog is killing my new plants.” The next paper reads, “Don’t be a dick. Give plants a chance.” The final paper reads: “This is not your dog’s litter box and parade ground.” Surely a single message should have been enough? But three? That’s taking the mickey.
People Reacting to the Washington Man’s Warnings
People from the area were quickly divided between those who agreed with the man and those who sided with the dogs. One person wrote: “Plant people vs. Dog people. I didn’t have this fight on my undercard, but I’m here for it.” Someone else saw that the Washington man wasn’t asking for a lot. “LOL, I’m both a plant and dog person. But I don’t let my dog poop on my plants either,” they said.
Others didn’t agree that much with the man. They found that it was good that the dogs used plants as their litter box. “Plant and dog person. Honestly, the problem in some neighborhoods with these special beds is that all the beds are special, which leaves no place for the dog to go. I bet this plant neighbor would be equally annoyed if the dog peed right on the sidewalk,” one person wrote.
Another believed that the place the Washington man wanted to keep clean was actually public property. “Yeah this flower bed looks like it is away from the house on the sidewalk between the house and the street. Like it really looks like public property and not someone’s yard. I’m not saying you should just leave dog poop everywhere but this doesn’t read as someone’s yard,” they added. Now, I just want to know if any of these signs were useful or if the Washington man ended up making even more signs.
