This weekend on Steam may make your wallet just a little lighter, but unlike the dual AAA release that was Mortal Kombat X + Grand Theft Auto V on the 13th and 14th, this one should do substantially less damage. Steam offers us PC gamers two great deals this weekend: a sale on a huge number of roguelikes (and roguelites) and a free weekend of a game that, if you haven’t already, you should probably check out.

Steam weekend sales are nothing new, but the roguelike sale this weekend has some amazing prices on some excellent games. Some of the standouts you can pick up are:

Spelunky for $3.74 (75% off)

One Way Heroics for $1.18 (66% off)

FTL: Faster than Light for $2.49 (75% off)

Rogue Legacy for $3.74 (75% off)

FTL is a must own game you can pick up this weekend for a huge discount.

Other games you can pick up (for good savings, but not the ridiculous values of the above listed) include Crypt of the Necrodancer, Don’t Starve Together, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, and NEO Scavenger. There are about forty games that are included in this sale with some great bargains to be had, so you would be doing yourself a disservice not to at least check it out. You can find the full list of games included in the sale through this link. The sale will end on Monday the 27th and 10 AM PST.

In addition to the roguelike sale, Steam also has a great free game for you to play this weekend. In celebration of their new Steam Workshop model, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be free to play until Sunday, April 26th. If you somehow have yet to play it, this weekend would be a great chance to explore the huge, vibrant world of Skyrim and see what all the fuss is about. With the Steam Workshop now allowing Mod creators to make money off their creations (as The Nerd Stash reported on yesterday), you may even find a new, lucrative side project to invest some time into.

You can roam Skyrim all weekend without paying a dime.

With a great roguelike sale going on and one of the most popular Steam games available for free, how will you be spending your time this weekend? Let us know!
