AmericaFest ran from December 18 to December 21, 2025, at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona, where the four-day event drew roughly 30,000 attendees. The event featured a slate of high-profile conservative figures, including Vice President J.D. Vance, Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, Steve Bannon, and Megyn Kelly. The conference was largely conservative, though some Democratic protesters were in attendance, including a man dressed as a giraffe who went viral for singing a protest song set to the tune of ABBA’s hit Dancing Queen, with altered lyrics. The clip is making the rounds online right now.
The video focuses on the protester, dressed in an orange-and-yellow giraffe suit, as he belts out a song while hooked up to what appears to be a mobile karaoke machine. The footage is accompanied by the caption, which reads, “Singing the hits at Turning Point Americafest.”
As the intro to Dancing Queen gets underway, other conservative attendees can be seen looking on in shock. “Welcome to Cultchella!” the man sings, while playfully shaking his hips to the music. He continues, “Hell yeah! This is the Turning Point.” In the backdrop, a conservative gentleman can be seen criticising the protestor, stating, “This is mainstream liberalism.” as he mockingly points out the singer.
The song comprises of satirical lyrics that range from “Trump in a two piece” to “You’re in the mood for a dance” to “Watch out for J. D. Vance.” The song culminates in the chorus, which features the lyrics, “You are an Epstein teen, young and sweet, under 17.”
As the clip gains traction online, people have taken to the comments to share their reactions. Over on Reddit, one user penned, “Love how they’re filming him back as if he’s the only one making a spectacle of himself.” while another chipped in with, ““This is modern liberalism” is such a funny response“. A third commenter joked, “They disagree with his message but can’t help acknowledging it’s a banger“. Meanwhile, a fourth added, “A national treasure, three cheers for giraffe man.”
While a large crowd of protesters and counter-protesters gathered outside the Phoenix Convention Center during Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, it was reportedly peaceful and no one was injured. It’s also worth noting that the protest organizers emphasized their gathering was meant to condemn violence and the convention’s messages, not to celebrate the recent death of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk.
