Besides the familiar packs of goblins, wolves, and the usual cyclops with WWE moves, there are other things you might find in Vermund and Battahl. If you look heavenward, you might spot a few statues decorating the landscape of Dragon’s Dogma 2. These towering structures, which sometimes can be headless depending on where you are, can lead you to your next adventure. But how do they work? Do you need to activate something or just follow your good old adventurer’s compass? As always, we’ve got it covered.
How To Use Status in Dragon’s Dogma 2
There isn’t a way to use statues in Dragon’s Dogma 2 per se. These structures adorn the hills of both nations and usually hold useful information for your journey or a small treasure. If you reach one, two things can happen.
Finding a Treasure
The most common thing that happens when finding a statue in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is encountering a treasure chest. Sometimes, it’ll be a rare chest that can hold wakestone shards, a weapon, an armor piece, or something even rarer. Other times, you might find a normal chest with different currency and a note. The latter matters most and leads us to the next thing that can happen.
Follow The Statue’s Gaze
If you pay attention to the game’s loading screens, one of their recommendations says following a statue’s gaze is a good idea. When you reach one, position yourself in front of it in a way your gaze lines up with the statue’s eyes. If it is a headless statue, line up with its broken arm. By doing so, you can follow that route and usually find a hidden dungeon, a mini-boss, or something even more mysterious. For example, one statue led us to a griffin’s nest, while another showed us the approximate location of one particular creature who loves to test our wits.
Ultimately, it is all a matter of luck, but what isn’t discovery that drives us, Arisen? So, if you find one, mark it on your map and make your way to it. You can call a harpy to life you there or do the Skyrim thing of trying to climb through steep terrain; it works sometimes.
