One of the many cursed possessions you will come across in Demonologist is the deck of Tarot Cards, however many players are wondering: what do Tarot Cards do? You can pick up Tarot Cards throughout the different maps in the game, rather than adding them into your loadout. However, since they are cursed possessions, there is always a risk involved with using them that may not be worth it. Each card can either offer you help against the spirit, or even make it more difficult for you to survive the spirit’s hunt. Keep reading to learn what Tarot Cards do in Demonologist.

You can find Tarot Cards in the form of a deck in various rooms around each map. However, only one Tarot Deck spawns in at once, and sometimes, not at all. However, the Tarot Cards are a sort of game of chance that can either assist or harm you within the game. Even though they can be very helpful, they can be just as harmful. It’s all up to which card you draw, which is fully randomized.

Each card has a different effect on the game. Below, you can see a list of the effects that each card have:

  • Aggressive Card
    • Drawing this card will make the spirit in your haunt much more aggressive
  • Angel Card
    • Drawing this card will bring one of your teammates back to life if they have died
  • Death Card
    • Drawing this card will cause the spirit to attack
  • Devil Card
    • Drawing this card will cause the spirit to interact with objects around you
  • Flame of Fate Card
    • Drawing this card will either lower or raise your sanity, but there is no way to know which it will do
  • Guillotine Card
    • Drawing this card will cause one of the players on your team to die, including yourself
  • Moon Card
    • Drawing this card will cause your Sanity to lower
  • Slave Card
    • Drawing this card will cause the spirit to be trapped in the room it is currently in
  • Sun Card
    • Drawing this card will cause your Sanity to increase
  • Void
    • Drawing this card has no impact on your game as far as we can tell

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
