From Attack to Defense, AFK Journey players will encounter numerous stats when they look at a hero information screen. Most of them are easy to understand. Attack reflects a character’s overall offensive power, while Defense is related to how much damage they can receive. However, as you scroll down, you may get confused about some of the terms you read. One of the most perplexing stats in AFK Journey is Haste, which some players may mistake for Attack Speed.
How Haste Stat Works in AFK Journey
Haste is considered an offensive stat in AFK Journey. According to the in-game description, every point of Haste increases the frequency of a character’s normal attacks, skill, and attack animation speed by 1 percent.
This is slightly different from Attack Speed, which only affects normal attacks and animation speed. So, in short, Haste is slightly better than Attack Speed in battles. While the difference may seem insignificant, it can add up if you have a ton of Haste points.
Several characters can provide Haste buff to your team in AFK Journey. Here is the list:
- Damian – Support
- Hewynn – Support
- Kafra – Warrior
- Lyca – Marksman
- Seth – Rogue
- Vala – Rogue
Let’s use Vala as an example. Her Night Maneuver ability lets her gain 80 points of Haste for ten seconds after beating a star-marked enemy. On the other hand, her Checkmate skill can apply a Haste debuff to an opponent who gets shot with an anesthetic bullet.
If you want the ultimate speed buff, you need to get Lyca, who can increase your Haste and Attack Speed. With her Empyrean Blessing skill, she can bless your team and boost their Attack Speed and Haste by 20 points.
In conclusion, Haste is a better stat than Attack Speed in AFK Journey. There is no harm if you can get both stats, but if you need to pick between leveling up a hero with an Attack Speed buff or a unit with a Haste buff, you should pick the latter.
