Farming and fishing aside, Singularity 6’s newest title has plenty of quests players can tackle at any time. One of such involves looking for a specific character’s nickname. We’re talking about the Temple of Roots mission, where Einar will send a letter to your parcel asking you to come and talk to him. Initially, it might seem like yet another farming or gathering quest, but that’s not the case. It is a mission that’ll test your wits and task you with finding everything about Hephaestus’ nickname in Palia.
Palia: Hephaestus’ Nickname Guide
First, the fisher-bot will inform you of a message asking for help and believe another Galdur has woken up. Einar and Hekla tried to open the area where the message came from, but their attempts failed. So, Einar thought that the player was the only one in Palia who could enter the place and discover the answer to the riddle: What Is Hephaestus’ Nickname? With that information, you can turn off the temple’s security and allow the robots to gain access to investigate where the mysterious message came from.
This whole quest’s ordeal is deactivating the security protocol and opening the Temple of Roots. To complete it, you must follow these steps:
- After talking to Einar, go to Mirror Pond Ruins.
- Near the main stairs to the mountains, there will be a drop with some small stairs. There, you will find a Mysterious Tunnel with a red cover. Interacting with it will take you inside a temple.
- First, read the notes on the table on the left of the central part.
- Then, read the notes upstairs where the water painting is.
In the second book, we learn that Hephaestus will check the facilities in Palia and that we should avoid using the old nickname of the one who wrote the note. In the book below, they write that “Asta has shut off our access…” so Asta is the writer and the one who had the codes for security. With this data, you can now talk to the robot below, who will ask you to enter the nickname letter by letter to deactivate the Keeper of Waves mission systems.
The Hephaestus nickname ASTA only applies if you are playing Palia in English, but the name may be different if you are experiencing this title in another language. If this is your case, try to check the notes as mentioned before. This is the first phase of a series of missions that include Keeper of Flames, Keeper of Gales, Hydroflow Overseer Station, Aeroflow Overseer Station, and Pyroflow Overseer Station. In them, you will have to explore more ruins, deactivate other temples, and help Einar and Hekla with a bug in their system. So, prepare to help your mechanic friends and continue your peaceful life in the beautiful valley of Palia after finishing these quests.
