This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

It’s hardly surprising that a game set within a cyberpunk world explores artificial intelligence. Cyberpunk 2077 is no exception and this time players have to deal with an AI that runs a cab company called Delamain in Human Nature quest. Eventually, the AI goes rogue, and players have multiple options to deal with it. Here we’ll explain the best choice to make in Delamain’s quest in Cyberpunk 2077, Don’t Lose Your Mind.

The Best Choice for Delamain in Cyberpunk 2077

After you help Delamain regroup all the cars, he will contact you again after a few days. This will trigger a quest called Don’t Lose Your Mind. Once you arrive at the Delamain HQ, you will quickly realize something is off. As you progress through the quest, you will hear multiple voices saying different things. The main Delamain asks you to reset the AI while the others ask you to set them free.

Eventually, when you reach the core, you will have two main options and a third one if you have high enough Intelligence. Your choices are Destroying the Core, Resetting, or Merging them together.

Among these options, merging is the best for many reasons and will affect your relationship with Johnny Silverhand. The worst is resetting the Delamain AI, and destroying the core is just okay.

If you decide to merge Delamain, these will happen:

  • Johnny will be pleased with you which has a direct effect on one of the game’s endings.
  • Delamain will become more sentient and leave the city for new adventures.
  • You will get a Delamain car for yourself to use and a Junior version of Delamain will remain to control the company.

If you go with destroying the core, the result will be this:

  • Johnny will be stoked
  • The divergent AIs will be free to roam the city and the old Delamain will be deleted.
  • The Excelsior personality will take over the last Delemain’s car and you will also get a car as a reward.

Here is what happens if you reset the core:

  • Johnny will be upset which can affect the ending of the game.
  • Delamain won’t remember you after the reset.
  • You will get a Delamain car for your efforts.

As you can see, Mergin is the best choice here. Since it requires a high level of Intelligence, it may not be available for everyone. So the next best option is destroying the core.

That was everything about all the choices available in Delamain’s quest, Don’t Lose Your Mind and what is the best of them in Cyberpunk 2077.
