Valve has begun rolling out the limited test for its highly anticipated sequel, Counter-Strike 2. Players selected for the beta can enjoy it for around five months until the game officially launches sometime in the summer of 2023. CS2 limited test time, end date, and time revealed.
Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test Beta Dates
Valve has a history of letting players try out their latest experiments and upgrades while gathering feedback for improvements. This happened during the Panorama update in 2017 and before the Source 2 upgrade of Dota 2 in 2014. Similarly, players selected for the Counter-Strike 2 limited test will provide feedback to Valve for further enhancements before the game’s official release.
Players who opt to upgrade to Counter-Strike 2 will find themselves in the lobby with other players who have also chosen to upgrade. CS:GO players will have their own matchmaking, ensuring that they do not end up in the same lobby as Counter-Strike 2 players. This decision by Valve ensures that every player can enjoy a fair experience.
Valve has implemented a few restrictions to get access to the Counter-Strike 2 limited test beta. These include having a good Steam account standing, a history of playing CS:GO, and having good system specifications. The developer has completely restricted players with a VAC or a game ban to ensure that only legitimate players are selected for the beta.
