The sunny beachside resort of Costa del Sol plays an incredibly major role in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. What was once a minor story beat has become a playground for mini-games and Wheelie riding. Square Enix bumps up the hype a notch with the addition of a “beach day episode” trope. In it, the characters get ready for a fun afternoon in the sun, but not before changing into attire more fitting for a beach resort. Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith are each able to choose between beach attire or, you guessed it: swimsuits.
When Can You Change Tifa’s Clothes in FF7 Rebirth?
You’ll be able to change Tifa’s clothes so that she’s wearing a swimsuit in Chapter 6: Fool’s Paradise. More specifically, you’ll be asked to change into some summer attire that you just purchased during the mission titled Fun While It Lasts. She’s able to choose from two available outfits:
- Majestic Glamour
- A stylish ensemble for those who want to strut their stuff on the beach.
- Shining Spirit
- An adventurous ensemble for those who want to frolic in the shimmering sea.
While both outfits would be acceptable for the beach, Shining Spirit is the one that’s considered a swimsuit. To really blend in with the ambiance of the resort, her weapons won’t be shown while she’s in the outfit. After the scene, you’ll be able to switch her back into this outfit anytime you visit Costa del Sol.
At the end of the game, you’ll be allowed to switch her into this outfit permanently. Now, she’ll be the only one who’s appropriately dressed for the heat of Corel Desert. Unless you decide to dress Aerith in her swimsuit, that is.
