You will be able to find the Altars of Sorrow on the moon. Follow the steps below to understand how to get to the moon and where to look for the right location:

  1. To get to the moon, open your Director and select the Moon as your destination. To shorten the path to the Altars, you will need to land in the Hellmouth area.
  2. After you get there, you need to go southeast to the large circular area. As you get closer, you will be able to see the Altars of Sorrow event flag you need. Head towards it.
  3. When you get close to the Altars of Sorrow, you can activate the event by pressing the interaction button. After this, the event will start, and you will need to fight off waves of enemies. Many enemies, including bosses, will be waiting for you, so be sure to prepare well for the battle to avoid defeat.

What Are the Altars of Sorrow in Destiny 2?

The Altars of Sorrow is a PvE tower defense event. You can attend it alone or with friends to make the task easier. Enemies will come out in waves and a certain amount of time will be allotted for each round.

With each new wave, you will compete against stronger and stronger enemies until it’s time for the boss battle. It’s important to work well together if you have a team, as enemies will keep you under constant pressure. Also, don’t forget to choose the best equipment and weapons, as your success will depend on it.

If you win and successfully clear all the enemies, you will receive generous rewards such as armor, weapons, and a lot more useful loot. If you came to the Altars of Sorrow as part of the A Spark in the Dark mission, you will also receive Silver Leaves and 1 Kindling.
