Destiny 2 rolls out their annual Solstice event, but before you can explore everything, you must complete the Celebrating Solstice quest. It’s the introduction quest to the event, providing Guardians with the Candescent armor set. If you haven’t jumped into the celebrations yet, you still have time to enjoy all the event offers. With the support of our guide, you will power through the Celebrating Solstice questline to unlock all the extra fun.

If you want to enjoy the Solstice event, you will speak frequently with Eva Levante. She is your primary contact throughout the event. From her, you will get the Celebrating Solstice quest for Destiny 2. Thankfully, the quest is mainly introductory and should not take much time. Even so, it’s a vital part of the event, so get to it as soon as possible.

Below are the primary steps you must take for Celebrating Solstice:

  1. Speak to Eva to activate the quest
  2. Complete the Bonfire Bash activity
  3. Return to Eva and claim an Event Card challenge
  4. Add Kindling to a piece of Candescent armor and return to Eva

Celebrating Solstice – Part 1

Once you speak to Eva, she will grant you Guardians the Candescent armor set. Be sure to equip it. You will then gain immediate access to the Bonfire Bash activity.

Celebrating Solstice in Destiny 2 – Part 2

The Bonfire Bash activity occurs on the EAZ. It’s a 3-player match activity with a single objective:

  • Eliminate Ignition Carriers and feed the orbs into the bonfire.

You want to kill as many Ignition Carriers as possible to collect numerous orbs. The better the bonfire, the more rewards you receive. Once you finish the activity, Silver Leaves will convert into Silver Ash. Silver Ash is the necessary currency when you reroll any Solstice armor.

However, be sure you have Silver Leaves to convert. You will receive Silver Leaves doing any of the activities other than the Bonfire Bash activity. So, head out to patrol, participate in The Crucible, and more. One great way to gain Silver Leaves is to finish Public Events.

Celebrating Solstice – Part 3

We’re one step closer to completing Celebrating Solstice in Destiny 2. Our next objective is to return to Eva in the Tower. After you speak to her, head into the Event Card tab and claim the Event Card challenge. When you do this, you will gain Kindling.

Celebrating Solstice – Part 4

With your Kindling, you can unlock some options for armor rerolls. Best of all, you can choose any of your Solstice armor pieces. You will only use the last two mod slots for rerolling.

The more Event Card challenges you complete, the more Kindling you can unlock for future rerolls. Once you initially imbue the armor with the Glowing Embers, you must return to Eva. Speak to her in the Tower to complete Celebrating Solstice in Destiny 2.
