Clauncher and its evolution, Clawitzer, are Water-Type crustacean Pokemon that are based on the powerful pistol shrimp in real life. First introduced in Generation VI games or Pokemon X and Y, they make a comeback in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Here’s where you can catch Clauncher and Clawitzer for your Pokemon Scarlet and Violet party member.

Where to Catch Clauncher and Clawitzer in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

First thing first, though. Unfortunately, Clauncher is a version-exclusive Pokemon, which means it can only be caught in Pokemon Violet. Pokemon Scarlet players would need to trade with their friends in order to obtain one.

Clauncher can only be found in Ocean areas. This Pokemon appears during the Morning, Noon, Evening, and Night time.

Where to Catch Clauncher and Clawitzer in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

By reaching Level 37, a Clauncher can then evolve into a Clawitzer. If you catch a Clauncher that’s above Level 37, then it will evolve once you raised its level once. To level up a Pokemon, you can take it into battle, activate the EXP Share and bring one to your party, or feed them Rare Candies.

Aside from evolving, Clawitzer should also appear in Ocean areas as well. This Pokemon appears during the Morning, Noon, Evening, and Night time.
