The Yakuza: Like a Dragon series is well-known for featuring a bunch of fun mini-games to break the monotony of talking to and punching people. And considering fishing is a staple and seems to be a fan-favorite kind of mini-game in lots of Japanese games, you can bet that Like a Dragon: Ishin also has a fishing mini-game. This guide will help you to find and catch Bluefin Tuna, one of the rarest fishes in Like a Dragon: Ishin.
Like a Dragon: Ishin – Where to Find and Catch Tuna
To find Bluefin Tuna, first head out to Fushimi and go to the Teradaya Inn. From there, talk to the fisherman on a boat and visit the East Coast, the place where all the rarest types of fish swim about, from Tuna and Oarfish to Marlin and Great White Shark. Below is the list of all fish available on the East Coast:
- Bluefin Tuna (9 stars)
- Conger Eel (4 stars)
- Great White Shark (9 stars)
- Marlin (9 stars)
- Oarfish (10 stars)
- Righteye Flounder (4 stars)
- Thread-Sail Filefish (2 stars)
- Whitebait (1 star)
You also need to prepare the top-tier equipment to catch a Bluefin Tuna:
- Bait: Top-Grade Bait.
- Can be purchased in Rakunai from the Bait Monger or Ebisu Pawn Shop for 5,000 Mon.
- Fishing Rod: Seamaster Expertise or Peerless Pole.
- Seamaster Expertise: Costs 1,500 Virtue from the Shinto Shrine.
- Peerless Pole: Costs 4,000 Virtue from the Shinto Shrine.
With all of that out of the way and now you’re on the East Coast, it’s time to catch yourself some Bluefin Tuna! You will need to look for big shadows in the water, which indicate either a Bluefin Tuna or a Great White Shark. Save your game before each attempt to save money on the Top-Grade Baits (or you can farm both money and Virtue with Chicken Racing instead) and keep trying until you’ve managed to bag a Tuna.
