New content for a Horizon game will translate naturally to new machines, including the Apex Bilegut in Burning Shores, Forbidden West‘s DLC. Resembling a giant and deadly frog, the Bilegut debuts alongside other new machines such as the Waterwing, Stingspawn, and the nightmare-fuel Horus. You will have new scans available thanks to these machines and new parts, such as the sought-after Apex Bilegut Heart. But if we are going to hunt a Bilegut, we need to know where’s habitat is located. Accordingly, here is where to find the Apex Bilegut in Burning Shores.
Burning Shores Apex Bilegut Guide
(Updated on August 27, 2024 – updated links and format)
There are two ways to find an Apex Bilegut in Burning Shores. Hunting down an Apex Bilegut in the wild requires completing the Cauldron Theta. You will find this Cauldron in the eastern part of the map. If you recollect correctly, each Cauldron has a final boss you must face. In the case of Cauldron Theta, that boss is the Apex Bilegut. Therefore, this is the place where you will find the Apex Bilegut in Burning Shores, alongside the Apex Bilegut Heart.
The Cauldron is a one-time encounter, meaning that the boss fight at the end of the dungeon cannot be repeated. However, you will need more Apex Bilegut Hearts to upgrade your weapons. In that case, you must search for the Machine’s spawn points on the Burning Shores map. Two of them are located in the center island, and the other is located north. You will have to hunt the Apex Bileguts during the night since they only appear once the sun has set. If you are unable to find it at one spot, go ahead and travel to the other.
And that’s how you find those Bileguts! Be sure to not be hit and damaged by its attacks, especially the acid. Just be sure to finish Cauldron Theta as soon as possible, and you will see these menacing Apex Bileguts across the land. Take the best weaponry you can, alongside all the ammo you can carry. This fight will be memorable. And by memorable, we mean extremely difficult. We can only wonder how the developers will improve upon this when the third Horizon game comes around.
