Collecting Deviants will make your life easier in Netease’s post-apocalyptic survival and crafting online game. These unique and peculiar creatures can help in combat, chores around your base, or even produce special materials. One of the latter is called Artisan’s Touch, the robotic hand Deviant that generates material for fixing gear on the fly. Unlike most Deviants with fixed locations in Once Human though, Artisan’s Touch can only be obtained from random drops.

Artisan’s Touch is a random drop from The Scorcher, the bloating fat Deviation enemy with a furnace for a head. The monster is rather tanky, and once its health drops below 40%, its head will detach and attack at the same time. At the time of writing, the enemy is known to roam around three different areas in the game.

First, you can find the monster in Hearst Industries, inside the red brick wall building. Then, one can also be found in Eastern Railway Junction, on top of a mound of gravel behind a train car. The last one is located in Greywater Industrial Zone, not far from the huge blue-colored industrial building after beating the Glutton on the bridge.

Below we have the list of the exact coordinates of each Scorcher location, which should help you farm Artisan’s Touch in Once Human:

As mentioned above, the Artisan’s Touch Deviant is a random drop so you might need to farm Scorchers several times before obtaining one. You can head back to the nearest Safe Zone or Teleportation Tower and change World to make them respawn but it takes time. Instead, what you should do is quit the game, wait for 2-3 minutes, and log back in; forcing the enemies in the area to respawn.

Once placed inside a Securement Unit, Artisan’s Touch will produce Multi-tools, which is a material for crafting the All-Purpose Hand item. This handy tool can be consumed to restore the durability of currently equipped gear with the lowest durability point. As you can expect though, it doesn’t work on items “you’re not the owner” of— it only fixes crafted gear.

All-Purpose Hand can be crafted on an Intermediate or Advanced Supplies Workbench, requiring:

  • Multi-tools x40.
  • Acid x15.
  • Stardust Source x40.
  • Beryllium Crystal x1.

Those are the locations of Artisan’s Touch and how to use it in Once Human. If you’re looking for other, handy Deviants that can automate your base, take a look at our Top 20 Automation Deviants guide.
