As part of the new A Rift in Time expansion, you will not only meet new characters, quests, and locations, but also new pets, such as Cobras, Monkeys, and Capybaras. Most fans love the latter one the most — as they’re so darn adorable — so you’re probably wondering where to find Capybaras and their favorite foods in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These cute, cuddly, furry creatures roam all over the valley, so you’ll need to take some time to find them and grow their favorite food.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: Where To Find Capybaras
In total, you can find and tame five capybaras in the game, and all of them look different. As mentioned above, their location is scattered throughout the valley, but there are still specific places where you can find each of them. So, here is a complete list of all types of capybaras and the locations where they can be found:

Also, don’t rush to go searching for an animal until you’ve looked through your Critters sections. As with other animals, they have their schedule, so if you come early or late, you’re unlikely to find them in the correct place. So, now that you know where and how to look for capybaras, it’s time to learn how to tame these cute animals.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Tame Capybara
Like most of the other animals in the game, to tame a capybara, you will need to feed it its favorite food. In this case, cabbage is the best option, but the following ingredients can also be an alternative:
- Garlic
- Agave
- Bamboo
- Cinnamon
But still, if you want to tame them as fast as possible, you need to get cabbage. Fortunately, this is not difficult to do, here are the instructions on how to get the cabbage:
- Visit Wild Tangle and find Goofy’s Stall there.
- Approach and interact with Goofy’s Stall to see the available goods.
- Among the products, you will notice cabbage seeds. Buy them.
- After buying the seed, plant it wherever you like and wait an hour until it grows, or use the Miracle Growth Elixir to make it grow right away.
- Harvest the crop.
Now that you have cabbage, taming a capybaras will be much easier. Just find it at the right time at one of the above locations, approach it, and interact with it to feed it cabbage. The capybara will be pleased to receive such a present. To tame the animal, you need to feed it cabbage for two days. Once you do, the animal can be taken with you on any trip as a companion.
