Want to know where to find Dratini in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Perhaps everyone who has been a fan of the Pokemon universe since childhood dreamed of getting their hands on a couple of majestic dragon Pokemon. The number one spot in popularity is undoubtedly Charizard, as it created the image of the Dragon-type Pokémon in the minds of young fans. But Dratini and his evolution forms take a solid second place. Delicate, graceful, and aesthetically perfect, Dratini makes a great addition to any collection, but it’s not easy to get. But our guide is here to help you and tell you where to find Dratini in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

(Updated on August 22, 2024 – Updated links).

Where to Find Dratini in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Despite its rich history and fan love, finding and capturing Dratini is not unlike any other Pokémon. Like other Pokémon, Dratini has several permanent habitats. So, to find Dratini in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you should visit the following locations:

  • Casseroya Lake
  • North Province (Area One)
  • North Province (Area Two)
  • South Province (Area Six)

Among all these locations, only Casseroya Lake can be called the area of Dratini. You can find Dratini most often in this location. For some reason, all evolutionary forms of this Pokemon love water bodies and, in particular, lakes. To some extent, this is unusual because water is not part of their type.

It is worth noting that getting to Casseroya Lake is not so easy. First, you must defeat the Open Sky Titan and get a swimming upgrade for Koraidon or Miraidon. It will take you some time, but as a reward, you will receive an area with dozens of rare Pokémon. In addition, the average level of Dratini you encounter will be 30-35, so you can evolve it into Dragonair almost immediately. As soon as you reach level 55 of this Pokemon, you will receive the top Dragon-type Pokemon Dragonite in your team.

Before you can capture Dratini, you will have to defeat him, and the process requires a strong team. Since Dratini is a Dragon-type Pokémon, it is weak against Ice, Dragon, and Fairy-type moves. Attacks from these types will deal 2x damage to him, so use specific Pokemon. Well, if you are not yet ready to fight Dratini, you can give the place to the dragon in the team another good Pokémon. For example, you can find Axew, which will have a slightly lower level. But otherwise, if you take the time to train, Axew is almost in no way inferior to Dratini.
