Where To Find & How to Use the Kuri Kuri Egg in Remnant 2: The Forgotten Kingdom

Quite the egg-ceptional quest, amirite?

In faithful Remnant 2 fashion, The Forgotten Kingdom DLC brings new convoluted quests, and one of the longest and strangest is the one involving the Kuri Kuri Egg. While the game features a procedural environment with randomized loots and spawns, this quest item is one of the few we’ve always found in the same place. While it isn’t challenging to obtain this item, the real challenge lies in cracking the egg open, which requires a lot of patience, exploring, and waiting around.

How To Find the Kuri Kuri Egg in Remnant 2

Once you start the new DLC, you’ll land in the Ancient Canopy area. If you follow the path precisely above the place where you spawn, you’ll encounter a Kuri Kuri nest with an egg. At first, you’ll have no idea what to do, but by inspecting it, you’ll see that it recommends an excellent chef to take a crack at it (pun intended). With that in mind, it’s time to do a bit of traveling.

Return to Ward 13

If you’ve been around Remnant 2‘s hub for a while, you know many inhabitants help you and other players in their travels. One of those is the chef that, after this quest, we have a love/hate relationship with him. Anyway, after you spawn in Ward 13, head to where all the stores are, and you’ll see the chef at his station. Talk to him, and he’ll take the egg from you. Here’s where the not-so-fun part begins. You have to go and clear one dungeon and then return to him for the quest to progress. From now on, there will be a lot of waiting around for the chef to give you a new stage.

Finding the Spice

After a bit of waiting, return to Ward 13 and speak with the chef again; he’ll ask you to find a spice for the dish he’s preparing. Here is where things get tricky because the game doesn’t make it easy to explain what a “spice” is. However, we were lucky enough to have Ambit Ember, which he happily took as the spice. After handing it over, it’s time to wait a bit more. Time to do a few dungeons and return.

Sweetening the Dish

The next step of the Kuri Kuri Egg quest in Remnant 2 involves bringing the chef something “sweet” to add flavor to the egg. This time, he gives you a clue and says you can find certain leaves in Yaesha, which, luckily enough, is where the DLC takes place. After progressing through The Forgotten Kingdom‘s story, Walt the Pan will increase their inventory, including the Sweet Leaf item. Purchase one of them and return it to the chef to add it to the dish.

Something That Gives the Dish a “Kick”

The next part of the quest requires you to find something that gives a “kick” to the egg. Here, you must return to Ward 13 to go to Mudtooth; he sits next to Reggie near the chef’s stand. Before you can buy from his store, you must listen to Mudtooth’s stories first. When you can interact with him, buy a Strong Drink.

With all the ingredients ready, and after waiting for the chef to cook the egg, you will get the Egg Drink. This consumable item increases the Dodge Weight Threshold for 60 minutes even after death. In addition to this quest, you can buy the drink directly from Mudtooth for 500 scrap.

One important thing to remember is that the quest’s progress doesn’t reset if you re-roll your adventure. Also, the progress carries over to your friends’ world. We played this in co-op, and everyone progressed equally, so don’t worry about leaving your friend’s match. However, with the mysterious objectives of this mission, we still have a lot to find and discover before we can crack the egg open.
