Even if going around the island picking up stuff isn’t your thing, you might still want to go the extra mile and farm marble to upgrade your granaries at Rank 13. Requirements To Get Island Marble in FFXIV

To get Island Marble in FFXIV, you must have access to the Island Sanctuary feature introduced in Patch 6.0. Once you’ve cleared the Endwalker MSQ, speak to the Clueless Crier in Old Sharlayan at (X:11.9, YY:11.0) and accept the ‘Seeking Sanctuary’ quest. 

You’ll also need to acquire the Islekeep’s Steel Hammer, which allows you to interact with gathering nodes within your sanctuary. While at lower levels it will only farm inferior-leveled ores, once you reach Rank 13, your Islekeep’s Steel Hammer will also pick up Island Marble.

Island Marble Location in FFXIV

To acquire Island Marble in FFXIV, activate the “Gather” mode from your Islekeep’s Index within the Island Sanctuary. This will help you locate the ore you’re currently looking for.

Then, visit the Northern River area. Specifically, head north of Pristine Pond (X: 18.4; Y: 22.5) and search for Smooth White Rock nodes. These nodes contain Island Marble; you can gather them by interacting with them. Remember, you’ll pick this ore up only if you’ve reached Rank 13. If not, Smooth White Rock nodes will drop regular ores like stones and limestones.

How To Use Island Marble in FFXIV

Island Marble in FFXIV is primarily used for Sanctuary Crafting. You can use it to renovate the Granaries within your Island Sanctuary at Rank 13.

To complete these renovations, you will need 20 pieces of Island Marble — among other materials. Make sure to gather Island Marble from the Smooth White Rock nodes in the Northern River area, as mentioned earlier, to obtain the required quantity for your crafting projects.
