With so many Pals during Palworld‘s launch, one that quickly became a fan favorite was Jormuntide and its Ignis variant. This dragon-type Pal can resemble a shrimp sometimes and is a fantastic addition to any party and base. While it might be better to bring it along for combat, it’s no slouch when it comes to working at home as well. So, taking the time to hunt it down can be beneficial for you and other members of your guild.
Where To Find Jormuntide in Palworld
We’ll discuss the normal Jormuntide first and its location in Palworld. As mentioned, this is a dragon-type Pal that also has the water element, making it fantastic for certain fights. However, low-level players might have to work a bit before meeting this creature. To reach this dragon’s lair, follow these steps:
- From the starting area, travel Northwest.
- You’ll eventually encounter the Investigator’s Fork fast travel point.
- After activating it, turn Southeast and walk toward the lake.
- You’ll find Jormuntide in the middle.
Jormuntide is an Alpha Pal, which means you’re in for a boss fight. If you’re going to fight it, bring Pals with the Electric and Ice elements. Also, try to bring some Mega Pal Spheres or better to capture it.
Where to Find Jormuntide (Ignis)
To find Jormuntide (Ignis) in Palworld, you’ll need to travel far and wide. It’s also a boss fight, and you’ll have to get at least a swimming or flying Pal to reach its location. Here’s how to reach it:
- Travel west from the starting area until you reach the island with the volcano.
- Head North of that island and unlock the Ruined Fortress City fast travel tower.
- Swim or fly to the island north of it to face the boss.
Jormuntide (Ignis) is one of the hardest fights in Palworld, so you better come prepared. Contrary to its normal version, this one has fire and dragon elements, so bring Pals that counter these types. The best one to bring is a Water/Ice Pal to make the fight much easier. And, as we mentioned, bring your best Pal Spheres to get it.

How To Get Flour in PalworldIf you manage to capture both of them, you can put them to work at your base. Jormuntide has Watering x4, while its Ignis variant has Kindling x4, making them great for farming and forging, respectively. If not, you can always sell them for some gold or keep them in your team for battle. Ultimately, they are great Pals to have at any moment.
