Lockboxes reward you with sweet loot in Dead Island 2, often including weapons like the Black Magic baseball bat in Rose’s Storage. After the apocalyptic events of the game, poor Rose has turned into a screamer zombie, and well, her belongings are free to take. That’s if you find the key to Rose’s mysterious Storage, though, in Dead Island 2.

Where Is Rose’s Storage Lockbox

[30 April Update – This guide has been updated with more details on how to find Rose’s Storage keys in Dead Island 2.]

You’ll find Rose’s Storage in Rose’s Tattoo in Venice Beach. Well, apparently Rose was a tattoo artist before death. You can open the doors to her place as easily as pushing a button, and you’ll find the storage inside. As expected, this lockbox is locked, and you’ll need to search the area to find the keys.

There’s a dead end on the north side of Rose’s Tattoo, where you can find Rose’s Storage Key in Dead Island 2. Go all the way to the end, and look for a zombie whose name is labeled as Rose. Actually, you don’t have to dig too deep to find her, as she’s a screamer and will draw your attention from half a mile away.

Now we could just ask Rose nicely to give us her storage key if she was alive, but that bridge is beyond broken now. All we can do is to give Rose what she deserves, by allowing her to rest in peace. In other words, just slay that zombie and snatch the keys.

Be careful though, Rose is a level 20 screamer. You can block her screams by pressing the L1/LB button on the controller. Avoid fighting her while she’s keeping on her attacks, and then strike with a heavy hit or a drop kick to clash the tattoo artist. Once you kill her, the Rose’s Storage Key item will drop by her corpse in Dead Island 2.

Opening the Rose’s Storage with her keys rewards you with a melee weapon called the Black Magic. This is a baseball bat with an exclusive look and 341 power. So if you haven’t gone too far in the game, this bat can help you through the rest of your gameplay. If you’ve already finished the game, however, this ain’t no valuable prize.

Dead Island 2 is currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
