This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Sgt Winter, known for tossing gifts to players, has been hard to locate in Fortnite Winterfest 2023. Unlike in previous years, where he was quickly found in a holiday truck around the map, players have to visit a specific place to meet him this time. There are three Fortnite Winterfest quests associated with the location and Sgt Winter.

Sgt Winter is located at Winterburg, a seasonal landmark added to Fortnite Winterfest 2023. Winterburg is located far North of the map, Northeast of Cloistered Castle, and Northwest of the Coastal Comms. You can find Sgt Winter roaming around Winterburg.

He is not aggressive unless you accidentally hit him. Therefore, I advise going there when the Battle Bus route is far from Winterburg. You can drop from the nearest location and glide to the island. When the Battle Bus Route is far away from the Winterburg, fewer players land there, giving you a clear chance of finding Sgt Winter without hitting him accidentally during a gunfire in Fortnite.

Once you approach Sgt Winter, he will throw a gift you must break with your Pickaxe. Most of the time, you will find a small portion and a medkit inside. Grab those items, and you will complete the quest and gain 15,000 XP. Then, Emote with Sgt Winter to complete another quest and gain 15,000 XP.

How To Land From the Bus at Winterburg and Finish in the Top 20 Players

As I mentioned, selecting a match with Battle Bus Route, far from Winterburg, gives you plenty of time to glide, land, and loot. Another thing you must remember is that similar to Krampus’s location, Winterburg catches up with the storm cycles early. So, once you complete the above two quests, escape the island through rails attached to the main island.

From there, it is just normal gameplay; you must survive in the match until you are in the top 20 players. You can either play aggressively or hide and wait for other players to eliminate each other. Once you survive up to 20 players, you will get the reward.
