If you want to find the mushroom-looking Pokémon known as Shroomish, you can track them down in various places in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This is another classic Pokémon you can catch in the Paldea region. While not the most powerful (or popular) companion, Shroomish is still worth tracking down. So, we’ll show you everywhere you can search to encounter them.
Where to Find Shroomish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Shroomish is a Grass-type Pokémon that isn’t too hard to track down. You can find them hanging out in the shade or close to trees. There are two locations you can visit:
- South Province (Area Five)
- West Province (Area Three)
As we said, you want to go toward the trees or any shaded area in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to find Shroomish. This can be grass, underneath trees, or even around a cliffside.
Once you find Shroomish, they are not tough to battle. As long as your own Pokémon are at a good level, you can take care of Shroomish with ease. As a Grass-type, they are weak to Poison, Bug, Ice, Fire, and Flying-type Pokémon and moves. Using these is an excellent way to lower their HP fast. However, this may also defeat them before you can catch them. You can also use Water and Ground-type to lower their HP enough to catch them instead.
The one thing to look out for with Shroomish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is that they regenerate HP quickly. So, you want your battle to be fast enough to stop them from healing but not too powerful to eliminate them.

How to get Scream Tail in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Shroomish is an average Pokémon to catch in the beginning if you don’t have a Grass-type Pokémon. They even know some Poison and Normal-type moves.
Here are all their base stats:
- HP: 60
- Attack: 40
- Defense: 60
- Special Attack: 40
- Special Defense: 60
- Speed: 35
Also, Shroomish does have an evolution. This way, you can get two different Pokémon added to your Pokédex. At Level 23, Shroomish will evolve into Breloom. There is a rather obvious difference in stats between the two as well to make this worthwhile:
- HP: 60
- Attack: 130
- Defense: 80
- Special Attack: 60
- Special Defense: 60
- Speed: 70
So, once you find Shroomish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can work on leveling them up to unlock the stronger Breloom.
