Where to Find Snake Mackerel in DREDGE

In DREDGE, there is a chance that you will eventually meet a mysterious hooded character, called Figure in Blue. To help him out and complete the Figure in Blue Pursuit quest, you will need to fish out a Snake Mackerel, Blue Mackerel, and Tiger Mackerel. Here’s how to find and catch the Snake Mackerel in the Lovecraft-inspired fishing game DREDGE.

DREDGE – How to Find Snake Mackerel

Snake Mackerel will only spawn at the Devil’s Spine, specifically at the Coastal habitat. Thankfully, you should be able to spot one at any time since a Snake Mackerel can appear day and night. So you do not have to wait until a specific time to be able to spot one. This fish can be caught using a Rod, but you might want to use the Improved Trawl Net for a better chance of obtaining one faster than usual.

Now with a Rod or an Improved Trawl Net in your hand, equip it and go to Devil’s Spine. A notification should tell you that the Encyclopedia has been updated with an entry on a new species when one has been caught.

Meanwhile, here is the location and how you can catch the two other fish to complete the Figure in Blue Pursuit:

Blue Mackerel:
- Can be found at The Marrows during the day using a Rod or a Trawl Net in the Coastal area.
Tiger Mackerel:
- Can be found at Gale Cliffs during the day using a Rod or a Trawl Net in the Coastal area.

Completing the Figure in Blue Pursuit will reward you with the Haggling and Bartering: A Guide book item. Reading this book will give you a bonus to your sell prices by 5% and reduce your buy prices by 5%.

Also, minor spoiler, but keep in mind that the Figure in Blue Pursuit is actually a timed quest; if you took your time to give him all of the fish and went back to him a few days after accepting the quest, then there is a huge chance that the Figure in Blue is already dead when you arrived. Considering the situation, you might want to do this quest in subsequent playthroughs instead of trying to complete all of them in one go.
