While playing Grounded, you’ll probably come across loads of locked doors in the Black Anthill Lab. The only thing you need to get through them is the Assistant Manager Keycard. However, there are some pretty big steps that you have to take just to unlock those Black Ant Lab doors. Not to mention, it involves fighting a pretty mean boss. Still, your options are limited, since you really do need to gain access to the lab to do much of anything once you reach a certain point in the game. So grab your best weapons and get ready to deliver a smackdown to management.

To find the Assistant Manager Keycard in Grounded, the first step is to find the Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager is a pretty mean boss, but he isn’t invincible, so you should be able to take him out pretty easily compared to the game’s more difficult bosses. Here’s what you need to do to find the boss:

  1. Go to Black Anthill Lab
  2. Proceed to the Observation Chamber
  3. Locate the window blocking your path
  4. Search for a nearby button, by the cliff edge
  5. Push the button to crack the window

The crack won’t allow you to pass, so you’ll have to use a bomb on the crack to create a hole big enough to squeeze through. Bomberman isn’t around, so it’s up to you to bring about this explosive finale.

How to Defeat the Assistant Manager in Grounded

Once you make it into the Observation Chamber, you’ll have to use the Console there. However, keep in mind that once you start the fight, you won’t be able to leave until it’s completed.

The fight with the Assistant Manager will occur in three phases. During each Phase, he will summon other enemies to fight along with him. The best way to defeat the Assistant Manager is to focus on keeping your health and stamina up at all times. Try to use weapons that deal smashing damage and are light and fast. Aside from fighting the boss, make sure you try to keep the boss’s minions under control and defeat them as he summons them. Lightening the work load will make for an easier battle.

As soon as you defeat Grounded‘s Assistant Manager, it will drop the Assistant Manager Keycard, and you will be able to unlock the rest of the Black Anthill Lab.
