Are you looking to find the Scavenger Boss in COD DMZ? No need for that; he will find you. The Season 3 of the Call of Duty: DMZ has brought quite a few additions to the popular extraction-style mode. These additions include the out-of-the-ordinary Barter System and new bosses, including the Scavenger boss. Players will traverse both maps in DMZ and be out of luck in search of the Scavenger Boss as this boss doesn’t operate on a preset spawn location, making it harder to find. This guide will show you where to find the Scavenger Boss in COD DMZ.
How to Find Scavenger Boss in COD DMZ
The scavenger boss in COD DMZ will be roaming around near the dunes on Al Mazrah and across the shoreline on Ashika Island. This mini-boss does what his name says; he scavenges the bodies of dead operators and collects their loot.
Now, as these are quite broad areas, you will spend some time searching for the new boss. Luckily, the game provides a few helpful tips. Once you get to one of these areas, a warning trigger will inform you that multiple operators have gone mission in the area.
As you get closer to the Scavenger, a new icon will flash on the map. This will reveal Scavenger’s exact location.
Track it down, and you will come across scattered bodies in the area. As you loot the bodies, you will find the Scavenger boss’s calling cards as loot material. As you loot more bodies, you will be on the Scavenger’s trail and collect more calling cards before Scavenger appears in front of you. If you want to complete the Redacted faction mission, you need three Scavenger calling cards.
As you collect cards, an NPC will appear, stating, ‘First, I’ll take your life, then I’ll take your gear.’ This is your cue to prepare for a massive fight against the Scavenger boss in COD DMZ. The Scavenger boss has a dark ghillie suit and is accompanied by several heavily armored soldiers to back him up.
Heavy armor protects Scavenger’s body, so you will have a problem dealing with him. Your best chance is to stay at range, use a powerful sniper rifle, and aim for his head. Don’t bother with his backup soldiers; they aren’t much important; just make sure they don’t shoot you.
