Warped Bone is a very important material in Monster Hunter World as it is used to craft various equipment. From Low Rank armor to High Rank weapons and Charm upgrades, you name it. Fortunately, finding it is not a hard task; it only appears in one hunting area and has a decent drop rate. Completing specific Quests can also reward you with crafting material, making farming it easy.

Warped Bone can be obtained by scavenging Bonepile nodes in Rotten Vale. The material is found in Low, High, and Master Ranks, but farming it in Expedition or Investigation during an Upsurge: Bonepiles will yield better results.

Don’t forget to recruit a Tailraider in the form of Gajalakas, Lynians, Boaboas, or other players’ Palico if you can. They will harvest additional items you can claim when returning to Astera or Seliana while following you and your Palico.

Speaking of Tailraider, running a Tailraider Safari is also a good way to get Warped Bone in Monster Hunter World. Speak with the Housekeeper cat in your Room or outside in Seliana or the Lynian Researcher NPC in Third Fleet Base. Select Rotten Vale as the destination and look for the route with the bonepile icon. If you see a red paw icon, that means that route will have bonus rewards.

Low Rank Tailraider Safari yields the lowest Warped Bone drop rate, meanwhile High and Master Rank has the same rates:

  • Low Rank: 10%
  • High Rank: 25%
  • Master Rank: 25%

Aside from bonepiles, Warped Bone can appear as quest rewards as well. However, not all quests that take place in Rotten Vale will reward you with one. Especially if you want to run a Master Rank Quest because only one MR quest has a chance of giving a bonus Warped Bone. Below we have listed all Monster Hunter World quests that will reward you with Warped Bone.
