The main weapons of Like a Dragon: Ishin! are swords, and there are different types of them, each having different attributes and stats that are categorized in different grades. Fine Grade is one of many sword grades in the game that can be obtained easily. If you’ve met Ginryu, he will ask you something in return for every new style he teaches you. Ginryu will teach you new abilities in Wild Dancer and Swordsman fighting styles, but only if you bring him the reward he asks for, which at first is a Fine Grade Sword.

There are three ways you can obtain a Fine Grade weapon in Like a Dragon:

  1. The first and easiest of them all is to purchase it from Arms Dealers in Mukurogai or Rakugai.
  2. The second way to obtain a weapon in this category is to loot them from defeated enemies. There is also a good chance you have already picked one up, so make sure you check your inventory.
  3. The last option to get a Fine Grade Sword is to forge it yourself. You can craft your own weapons at Kurogane Smithing, which you will gain access to in Chapter 3: Mibu Wolves. But to craft it, you will need an Iron Hammer that can be purchased at the Materials Vendor in different parts of the game.

This is not the only time you will need a Fine Grade Sword. It is a good quality grade, especially in the early stages of the game. But many players want this weapon simply to pass the first obstacle of Ginryu and learn new abilities.

But knowing you cannot bring a Fine Grade Sword each time is essential. As you progress through the fighting style, he will ask for a higher-grade sword that starts from the Fine Quality all the way to the Best.
