In “King of Everything,” Beer sings about a powerful man in the industry. “Look at you go. Walkin’ on everyone like steppin’ stones,” she begins on the track. Beer then appears to accuse this mystery person of having only achieved success by hurting others. “Buildin’ a home made up of gold of people you hurt,” she sings. “Bridges to Hollywood you took then burned. I hope it was worth it. What you get, you’ll deserve it.”
Later in the song, Beer refers to this mystery person as the “king of everything.” She then hints that their kingdom has “crumbled” and they’re the “king of nothin’ now.” Considering Braun has recently lost his biggest artists like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato, it’s easy to see why fans may think “King of Everything” is about him. Braun and Beer also once worked together, however, they reportedly had a fallout that led to them going their separate ways.
In a new TikTok, the singer addressed the rumors surrounding “King of Everything.” In her video, which features the caption, “who is king of everything about,” Beer mouths along to an audio that goes, “Oh my goodness. I love this question. Um, I think.” Before she can answer the question, her video abruptly ends. Fans in the comments section agreed they already know who the song is about. “real ones know,” one fan commented. “U will never tell us openly but WE ALL know,” another person wrote.
