After the long and tiring Dragon Temple dungeon and before the story of Metaphor: ReFantazio reaches new dramatic levels, players can rest on September 6 by enjoying the Dragon God Festival. Initially, it may seem like this event is just there to offer our party members a relaxing moment after the daunting adventures they’ve had. However, there are a few rewards you can obtain by praying with your followers. Since each reward is different depending on who you invite, we’ll tell you which one is the best in the long run.

Dragon God Festival Guide

Once your party obtains the Dragon Lance (Drakodios) and Fidelio is finally cured, you’ll be ready to head to Altabury. However, the people at Eht Ria (formerly known as Vigra Island) will invite you to the Dragon God Festival in Metaphor: ReFantazio, which takes place on September 6. Since it is a story-related moment, you can’t skip it, and I advise against it, anyhow. There are some fun cutscenes with all the characters during the event. However, the real reward of watching all this is a legendary weapon that you can get depending on who you invite.

Near the end of the festival, you’ll get to pick between any of your party members. Here’s what you get as a reward for praying with every character:

  • Strohl: Rebel’s Greatsword (Legendary/Warrior Lineage): Small MP recovery every turn.
  • Hulkenberg: Driftwood Lance (Legendary/Knight Lineage): Small MP recovery every turn.
  • Heismay: Silence (Legendary/Thief Lineage): Small MP recovery every turn.
  • Junah: Stylish Fan (Legendary/Masked Dancer Lineage): Small MP recovery every turn.
  • Eupha: Dancing Crosier (Legendary/Summoner Lineage): Small MP recovery every turn.
  • Gallica: Whalebone Rod (Legendary/Mage Lineage): Small MP recovery every turn.
  • Neuras: Protobow Beta (Legendary/Gunner Lineage): Small MP recovery every turn.

What is the Best Weapon?

In truth, all weapons are great. However, there are two ways you could go about when picking who to invite during the Dragon God Festival on September 6 in Metaphor: ReFantazio. First, look at your follower’s weapons and pick the one who has the weakest one. Second, look at the weapon’s benefits. All of them have a small MP recovery effect. With that in mind, the armaments benefit those who use Magic often, such as Junah, Eupha, or even Hulkenberg. In my case, I picked Hulkenberg first just to realize she had a better weapon already. So, I reloaded my save and went with Junah instead because she needed the MP restoration effect.

Ultimately, the choice is yours, and even if the weapons are legendary, you’ll replace some of them as soon as you reach Altabury. Still, the MP recovery effect is a boon and you should have it on someone who has little MP or casts spells constantly. On the other hand, you can just bring your favorite character and enjoy a wholesome scene before the chaos unfolds in the next city.
