Wondering why you can’t access Echo of Hatred, the optional Capstone Dungeon in Diablo 4? Capstone Dungeons, or the postgame dungeons, will become available after you’ve completed the campaign and current run of a World Tier or difficulty. The first Capstone Dungeon you will unlock after the fact is the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon in the Fractured Peaks. Meanwhile, to get into Echo of Hatred, you must clear World Tier 4 and interact with Lilith’s Blood Petals. But for some reason, several players cannot access Echo of Hatred in Diablo 4 and fight Uber Lilith. Below are the two reasons why that might be happening to your game.
Diablo 4: Why Echo of Hatred is Accessible? Answered
You cannot access the Echo of Hatred Capstone Dungeon in Diablo 4 for two reasons. First, remember that Echo of Hatred will only be unlocked after you finish the campaign and get to World Tier 4. As a refresher, below is the list of all World Tiers or difficulties available in Diablo 4:
- World Tier 1 (Adventurer): Easy mode, Level 1-50.
- World Tier 2 (Veteran): Normal mode, Level 1-50.
- Monsters drop 15% more Gold and 20% more EXP.
- World Tier 3 (Nightmare): Hard mode, Level 50-70, unlocked by completing the campaign and Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon in Kyovashad on World Tier 2.
- Sacred and Unique items can be obtained.
- Nightmare Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons can be obtained.
- Helltides can appear throughout Sanctuary.
- Tougher Champion monsters that have Resistance auras can spawn.
- Enemies are tougher and can overcome 20% Resistance.
- Monsters drop 15% more Gold and 100% more EXP.
- World Tier 4 (Torment): Very Hard mode, Level 70+, unlocked by completing the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon in Dry Steppes on World Tier 3. Reach this Diablo 4 difficulty to unlock Echo of Hatred.
- Ancestral and Unique items can be obtained.
- Enemies are even tougher and can overcome 40% Resistance.
- Monsters drop 15% more Gold and 200% more EXP.
Don’t forget that changing World Tier will reset Town Portals and Whisper Bounty progress. The co-op also only works when every player is on the same World Tier.
The second reason is that Activision Blizzard might temporarily disable Level 100 Pinnacle Challenges. From June 6 to 8, Diablo 4 Community Manager PezRadar wrote that the team disabled the encounter to fix “a few items.” At the time of writing, Diablo 4 Echo of Hatred Capstone Dungeon is now accessible again. However, this forum post also indicates that the development team can disable parts of the game anytime they see issues that need fixing.
The level 100 pinnacle challenge encounter has been temporarily disabled as we work to resolve a few items related to this encounter.
We will update the community once this has been re-enabled.
For that reason, you might want to check out the Diablo 4 official forum or social media always to be updated about any latest issues. And that’s how you can unlock Echo of Hatred in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
