Wild Rift 4.1B Patch Notes will introduce several updates and additions to the game. Firstly, the character known as the “smelly rat” will be playable on the Rift, and players should be wary of his presence. A new Ranked season is also beginning, and players can work towards earning a new skin during their climb. All content will not be available immediately but will be released gradually throughout the patch.
Wild Rift 4.1B Patch Notes Update
NEW CHAMPIONS
TWITCH, THE PLAGUE RAT
A Zaunite plague rat by birth, but a connoisseur of filth by passion, Twitch is not afraid to get his paws dirty. Aiming a chem-powered crossbow at the gilded heart of Piltover, he has vowed to show those in the city above just how filthy they really are. Always a sneaky sneak, when he’s not rooting around in the Sump, he’s digging deep into other people’s garbage for discarded treasures… and perhaps a moldy sandwich.
Twitch will be released on April 20 at 00:01 UTC.
RANKED SEASON 9
It’s time for a new ranked season! Are you ready to climb to the top again? Or have you set a new goal to reach? Regardless of your plans, we wish you the best of luck as you set sail on your journey! And as you climb, Glorious Armada Twisted Fate will be your award for exploring the marvelous new seas of this ranked season!
In addition to the new Ranked skin, as a reminder we also have a few changes for the highest tier in Season 9. Promotion to Grandmaster will now require 40 Marks. This means the number of marks required to be in that will stay the same throughout the season, rather than changing based on the top percent of players in your server.
Also, with these adjustments to promote to Challenger you will need at least 60 Marks, up from 40 in previous seasons. We’ll continue to keep a close eye on how the Grandmaster adjustments will affect the distribution of top players in Ranked, and we’ll have more changes to come in Season 10!
Ranked Season 9 will begin on April 19 7:00 PM PST.
LEGENDARY QUEUE
A new season of Legendary Queue is also right around the corner, and we’re also making a few adjustments for the upcoming season:
- You will now need to reach Master (previously Diamond IV) to unlock Legendary Queue.
- You must maintain Diamond IV+ to continue queueing.
- If you drop below Diamond IV, you will be unable to queue up for Legendary Queue.
- The mastery score requirement has been raised from 400 to 1000.
CHAMPION CHANGES
AATROX
Aatrox’s late game kiting and crowd control abilities are too powerful, so we’ve come for him with our nerf blade!
- THE DARKIN BLADE
- Cooldown: 13.5/11/8.5/6s → 13/11/9/7s
DR. MUNDO
The good Doctor has been struggling in higher levels of play, where players are better at playing around his passive. So, we’re shifting some of its power into his ultimate to make sure Mundo gets the maximum value out of Maximum Dosage.
- GOES WHERE HE PLEASES
- Loss of current health when being immobilized: 7% → 3%
- Restore Dr. Mundo’s health when picking up a chemical canister: 8% → 4%
- MAXIMUM DOSAGE
- Health gained: 15/20/25% Missing health → 25/30/35% Missing health
- Health regeneration: 20/40/60% of Maximum health → 15/35/55% of Maximum health
LEE SIN
Despite Lee Sin’s fearsome reputation on the Rift, his win rate has been consistently low. To lend him a hand, we’re giving him a boost to his base damage which will make those early jungle clears feel smoother.
- BASE STATS
- Base Attack Damage: 64 → 66
NASUS
Nasus’ final form is looking too strong with Amaranth’s Twinguard. To make things a little less ruff for his opponents, we’re nerfing some of his late game power, and giving a slight buff to his early game to compensate.
- BASE STATS
- Base Attack Damage: 64 → 66
- SIPHONING STRIKE
- Base damage: 25/50/75/100 → 30/55/80/105
- FURY OF THE SANDS
- Armor and magic resistance: 25/50/75 → 40/50/60
PYKE
After our recent round of buffs, we saw that we went too far and gave Pyke too much power, so we’re continuing to pull back on some of his power in the jungle and Mid Lane and moving it to his supportive assets.
- GIFT OF THE DROWNED ONES
- With two or more enemy champions nearby, stored damage ratio: 45% + 0.65% × Fixed armor penetration → 50% + 0.65% × Fixed armor penetration
- Stored damage cap: The lower number of 60% maximum health and 80+8 × Additional Attack Damage → The lower number of 60% maximum health and 140+8 × Additional Attack Damage
- PHANTOM UNDERTOW
- Damage ratio to minions: 80% → 50%
- DEATH FROM BELOW
- With ally assists or when an ally kills the enemy champion within the X mark, Pyke gets a percentage of the kill gold: 120% → 140%
RAKAN
Compared to Rakan’s team-focused support build, AP Rakan has been flying high and getting all the limelight. We’re nerfing his damage so we can bring the two builds closer together.
- BASE STATS
- Base Attack Damage: 64 → 58
- GRAND ENTRANCE
- Cooldown: 18/16/14/12s → 18/17/16/15s
- Damage: 70/140/210/280 + 70% Ability Power → 70/135/200/265 + 55% Ability Power
- BATTLE DANCE
- Shield Ability Power ratio: 80% → 65%
TRYNDAMERE
We’ve noticed that Tryndamere has been struggling in the earlier stages of the laning phase compared to his fellow fighters in the Baron Lane. We’re increasing his base Attack Damage, which we hope helps him in those early lane skirmishes.
- BASE STATS
- Base Attack Damage: 52 → 54
- BLOODLUST
- Base health regeneration: 40/50/60/70 → 55/65/75/85
VI
While Vi’s “punch first, ask questions while punching” attitude makes her a fearsome foe to encounter while you’re in the jungle alone, she lacks that same fighting power in teamfights. So, we’re giving her a buff to her cooldown speed which will provide her more displacement possibilities in team fights.
- VAULT BREAKER
- Cooldown: 12/11/10/9s → 10/9/8/7s
XIN ZHAO
Compared to other junglers, Xin Zhao is struggling, so we’re giving him some overall buffs to help him out.
- BASE STATS
- Base Attack Damage: 58 → 62
- AUDACIOUS CHARGE
- Cooldown: 12s → 11s
ZOE
You know that we love Zoe around here and want to see her win, we’ve only said it like a zillion times. However, as much as we love this bubbly, sparkly mage, she is still too much of a powerhouse in the Mid Lane, so we’re nerfing her damage across the board.
- PADDLE STAR!
- Base damage: 50/90/130/170 → 45/85/125/165
- Increase damage ratio with champion level: 6~55 → 3~52
- SLEEPY TROUBLE BUBBLE
- Base damage: 70/125/180/235 → 60/115/170/225
- True damage cap: 70/125/180/235 → 60/115/170/225
ARAM CHANGES

AURELION SOL

CAMILLE
- Damage received: -20% → -15%
DR. MUNDO
- Damage received: 0% → -5%
URGOT
- Damage dealt: 0% → 5%
- Damage received: 0% → -10%
ZOE
- Damage dealt: 5% → 10%
- Damage received: 0% → -5%
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
RUNE CHANGES
RESOLVE: BONE PLATING
Bone Plating is both a popular and powerful rune, so we’re giving it a slight nerf.
Rune stats
- 35 – 65 → 30 – 60
RESOLVE: SECOND WIND
We want to give Wild Rift players more options for rune choices in the laning phase, so we’re buffing Second Wind.
Rune stats
- Health regeneration in 5 seconds (3 + 2% of Missing health) → Health regeneration in 5 seconds (6 + 2% of missing health)
