Will Smith is no stranger to rumors and speculation. He claims that he doesn’t typically respond to the public drama. However, there is something he feels compelled to get off his chest about his relationship with disgraced music mogul Sean Diddy Combs. Smith cracked a few jokes, but his fans only partially bought into his response.
On Thursday night, Bad Boys star Will Smith took the stage at The Observatory North Park in San Diego during a break in the show to address the memes and speculation that are making the rounds about him and Diddy. The TMZ clip of Smith reveals the actor’s thoughts on the subject, but something about his words seems a little too desperate, according to some fans.
Sean Diddy Combs’ September arrest has his former Hollywood pals going to great lengths to distance themselves from the shamed rapper. Will Smith is the latest of Diddy’s friends to step up and seemingly set the record straight.
Smith jokes about the rumors circulating. He tells the sold-out crowd that he understands how, in this day and age, it is hard to tell what is true or not. He adds that all the memes circulating online can cause a lot of confusion. However, he wants to address the rumors and clear up a few things for his fans. “I don’t have s*** to do with Puffy, so y’all can stop all the memes,” claims Smith.
Will Smith Attempts To Distance Himself From Diddy Drama
The actor continues to crack a few jokes on the subject. But he wants everyone to know that all the rumors being spread about a relationship with Sean Diddy Combs are “A Damn Lie!”
“You can stop all that bulls–t. I ain’t been nowhere near those damn Freak-Offs. I do enough of my own s–t, don’t be putting other people’s bulls–t.” Smith continues stating, “I ain’t been anywhere near that man [or] did none of that stupid s-t. So whenever you guys hear that, it’s a damn lie.“
Will Smith speaks the truth on that. He and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, are constantly making news headlines for one bizarre thing or another. Recently, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith made headlines after being photographed leaving a restaurant following dinner.
It was the first public outing for the estranged spouses in more than six months. However, that did not interest their followers, who noticed something strange allegedly taking place. Fans called out the pair, claiming they looked high as Jada seemingly appeared to balance herself holding on to Will. Their appearance sparked a lot of speculation about Jada’s health and their relationship status.
As Will Smith continued his comedic spiel on Diddy, he didn’t deny that the two men had interacted a bit through the years. But Smith claims he has never been down for any of the rapper’s alleged parties or freak-offs.
The actor said his piece, hoping it would clear up any future confusion. He left his fans with one final bit of information, simply snarking, “I don’t even like baby oil.‘ Now that Will has spoken out, some think, much like Ashton Kutcher, this sounds more like a classic case of protesting too much. But time will tell.
