William Sadler, Happy Anderson, and Adia Gill have been officially announced as the latest addition to Full Circle, an HBO Max limited series by Steven Soderbergh. Sadler, Anderson, and Gill join previously-announced cast members Jharrel Jerome, Jim Gaffigan, Timothy Olyphant, Dennis Quaid, Zazie Beetz, Claire Danes, CCH Pounder, and Sheyi Cole, among others.
Slated for release in 2023, Full Circle on HBO Max will follow the police investigation into a botched kidnapping that grows into a complicated web as investigators uncover “long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present-day New York City,” per the show description. The series is the latest work of director Steven Soderbergh, whose recent projects include Is This Black Enough For You?!? (2022), The Exiles (2022), and Finding Magic Mike (2021).
Full Circle also sees Soderbergh joining forces with writer Ed Solomon, who was behind famous titles like Men in Black (1997), Charlie’s Angels (2000), and Now You See Me (2013). Soderbergh and Solomon also serve as executive producers for the HBO Max limited series, along with Casey Silver, who joined Soderbergh and Solomon on the HBO Max film No Sudden Move (2021), according to Deadline.
Behind the Cast Additions to ‘Full Circle’ on HBO Max
With Full Circle still in the early stages of development, details regarding the specific roles of the series cast are limited, but it has been confirmed that Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet) will be starring as Derek, with Jim Gaffigan (Luca) as Manny Broward, and Suzanne Savoy (Better Call Saul) as Kristen McCusker, among other named roles.

William Sadler, one of the three latest additions to the HBO Max series, has most recently starred as Judge Nilsson on Paramount’s The Good Fight (2022) and Gilbert McCallister in She Came From the Woods (2022). Some of Sadler’s other notable roles include Jack McGarrett/John McGarrett on the CBS reboot of Hawaii Five-0 (2010) and Armin Janko on Blue Bloods (2015). His role in Full Circle has not been specified.
Happy Anderson’s most notable roles include Jerry Brudos in the Netflix thriller series Mindhunter (2017) and Deever Tweed in the Fox series Gotham (2016). Some of his more recent roles include starring as Timofey Kent in the podcast series Bloodthirsty Hearts (2022), Skinner in the podcast series Electric Easy (2021), and Dr. Henry Klimpt in Snowpiercer (2020).
Adia Gill makes her debut role in Full Circle on HBO Max, making her a newcomer in comparison to her coworkers, but she has narration experience with audiobooks like Ebony and Ivory and The Education of Little Tree (1976) by Asa Earl Carter.
Full Circle is expected to premiere on HBO Max in 2023. The limited series will reportedly run for six episodes; more details on the series’ production, casting, and release will likely become available as it is developed.
