These days, watching the news is the last thing you’d expect to get a laugh from. Yet, one interesting man in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, made the internet smile with his rather eccentric personality. The story goes that armed police raided the man’s home, with multiple lasers aimed at his face. The authorities had been reportedly tapping his phone and tracking him for six weeks before making the big arrest. He told WISN 12 News that he’d been interrogated for seven hours before being released.
“So you don’t know of any drug selling?” the interviewer asked the man, to which he replied, “Yeah I sell weed! Sell a little cocaine!” on live TV. Despite his confession to committing a crime, the police let him go without charges as an “innocent” individual. “I mean, more or less, I’m small potatoes,” remarks the drug seller. He also recorded a video of how the police left his house in an absolute mess, yet it appears they didn’t find what they were looking for.
But if one thing is certain, the internet believes the Milwaukee man definitely told on somebody. “He admits to selling weed and cocaine and they let him go. Sounds right!” exclaimed a commenter. “They must have had something on him watching him for 6 weeks he probably ratted somebody else out that’s why they let him go,” added another. “This dude definitely narked on his supplier,” remarked a third.
On the other hand, many found it hilarious that the drug seller was given a platform to announce his business to the public. “He got a free localized commercial!” laughed a Reddit user. “I was thinking this might boost his sales. What a legend,” agreed another. “Hmm I might have to pay this young entrepreneur a visit,” joked a person. Truly, the fact that the police arrested this man in such an excessive manner and then let him go to speak to reporters could be quite the marketing move on his part.
But it was the man’s “small potatoes” comment that became the spotlight of the interview. “‘I’m small potatoes’ is going to be my response anytime i get in trouble at work,” quipped one commenter. “Small potatoes ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ,” quoted a second. A third laughed, “hahaha oh my god the end of this clip is gold.” While he might have snitched on his “network,” the man definitely won the hearts of the internet.
