A woman from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is facing backlash online after allegedly using ChatGPT to get a refund for an order she placed through DoorDash.
The woman shared a video showing several images related to her alleged actions. In one photo, she showed the chicken she received from her DoorDash order, which appeared properly cooked. She then showed how she used ChatGPT to alter the image so the chicken appeared raw, adding the caption “Shout out ChatGPT” on top of the video.
The woman allegedly submitted the edited image of raw chicken to DoorDash as part of her refund request. At the end of the video, she shared a screenshot showing that $39.24 had been credited to her account, along with a message from the platform asking whether her issue had been resolved.
She added more details in the caption explaining why she faked the image. “Shout out to ChatGPT Cuz who [expletive] was they feeling like forgetting my carrots and ranch that I paid EXTRA for and had the nerve to send some cold [expletive] chicken yea ok!” she wrote. The post also showed a response from DoorDash that read, “oop should’ve blocked us!” It is not clear whether any further action was taken against her account following the incident.

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers criticized the Wisconsin woman’s alleged actions. To them, it was dishonest or unethical to manipulate evidence for a refund from DoorDash.
