A woman and her friends were returning home at night when, all of a sudden, a mysterious man appeared behind them. Fortunately, he was seen at the last possible second, ensuring that all women entered the apartment and preventing a potential tragedy in Abilene, Texas.
The brief incident was shared on TikTok by Shay Dawn, showing Ring camera footage of a woman trying to open the door of her apartment. A creepy man, unidentified, walked behind her, menacingly. The Texas woman, named Alyssa, immediately felt a presence, and as he began to approach her, she turned.
“Can I help you?” the woman asked.
What followed was incoherent speech on behalf of the man, who tried to explain something, potentially portraying himself as nice rather than scary. Alyssa sent her away, but according to Shay, the man walked toward their car and tried to get her and a third woman, Kodee, out.
The man allegedly began to chase them and cut them off around the building. However, the women managed to elude him. This led to the last clip on the TikTok, where all three rushed inside the apartment. The shadowy man appeared once again in front of the doorbell camera, knocking on the door, standing right next to it, before eventually walking away.
Man Arrested, Reactions
According to the Texas TikToker, they ended up calling the police, and the unnamed man was arrested. Shay added, “Scary night for us all, but we are safe! Stay aware, ladies! If we weren’t paying attention, we would have all been attacked.”
Many in the comments were shocked to see how close the woman was to being attacked. Some praised how aware she was of her surroundings, which probably ended up saving her friends.
“Survival instincts of a Navy SEAL,” one user commented. Another one pointed out, “You turned around just as he was about to attack you.” A third one added, “You stayed so impressively calm, and I think it freaked him out.”
With the man off the streets of the Texas city, hopefully, no other women will fall victim to his stalking. By the looks of it, these ladies might have prevented future tragedies altogether.
