An MMO wouldn’t be that without classes. Even if we go back to the first games of the genre, we’ll all see that classes are everywhere, from the common ones like Warriors or Knights to elaborate ones like Ninja or Blue Mage. While they offer a great deal of customization and personality, there is one thing that always happens on MMOs: balancing issues. It is hard to find a balance between all the classes in these types of games, especially in games that have been here a long time, like World of Warcraft. While we’d all love to be able to play any class without worrying about the meta, WoW has never been known for that. So, if you’re planning to level up a healer, today, we’ll tell you which are the best healer classes in WoW Dragonflight.
WoW Dragonflight: Best Healer Classes
Right now there are a total of 7 healer classes in WoW Dragonflight, and some of them are considered the best. Today, we’ll rank them from weakest to strongest.
7. Restoration Shaman
Sadly, one of the most iconic classes of the game isn’t that great right now. The Shaman, who got even more famous during the Cataclysm expansion, has seen a lot of changes in all specs. Now, for the restoration specialization, it isn’t playing that well. While you can clear some content with it, the class isn’t one of the best healer classes for WoW Dragonflight content, especially due to the removal of some Shadowlands abilities. Still, it is one of the most mobile healer classes out there.
6. Mistweaver Monk
Introduced in Mists of Pandaria, the Monk class can do all three roles: DPS, Tank, and Healer. Yet, this expansion isn’t the greatest for the latter. While it is also a fast-paced healing style, this class tends to run out of mana real quick. In comparison to other classes, this one doesn’t have strong abilities to reduce damage for single targets or party-wide. This makes the Monk not so ideal for healing during this season.
5. Holy Priest
The Holy Priest class is a great choice right now, even if it isn’t one of the best healer classes of WoW Dragonflight. It does some great damage and has some amazing healing talents. According to some users, the main complaint is that the class doesn’t offer a party-wide damage-reduction ability. This is bad if you’re planning on taking Mythic dungeons right now.
4. Discipline Priest
This isn’t such a bad choice when it comes to choosing a healing class. The Discipline Priest has some great shields and good damage output. It is a fairly easy-to-learn class, and some players stick with it for a lot of time. Yet, one thing that players dislike is the lack of an interrupt option. This is crucial for most endgame content, especially those who want to try their luck at Mythic dungeons.
3. Holy Paladin
Moving on with the top 3 of the best healer classes in WoW Dragonflight, we have the Holy Paladin. Just like the Monk, Paladins are able to fulfill all three roles. Protection Paladin is one of the best tanks right now, and Holy Paladin isn’t bad either. It has amazing offensive and defensive abilities, and it can contribute in all ways to any party. Yet, players think that this class lacks a bit of Healing-per-Second abilities to make it shine more.
2. Preservation Evoker
It isn’t too strange to have the new class being on the top of the list. This usually happens in almost every expansion. Back in Wrath of the Lich King, Death Knights were on top of almost all tier lists. The Preservation Evoker is one of the best healer classes in WoW Dragonflight right now. It has great critical heals, a chance for instant-cast heals, and more. Definitely, a class you should try if you’re into healing.
1. Restoration Druid
Druid overall is a class that many people love. It is the only one that has access to four specializations. The Restoration Druid is the #1 right of the best healer classes in WoW Dragonflight, due to all that it brings to the game: great utility, mobility, and amazing damage. If you are looking for a class to learn when it comes to healing, try this one.
As you can see, all classes have great things, and the one in last place doesn’t mean it is the worst. As with any other MMO, it depends on what your playstyle is and what you enjoy the most. So, get ready to try a class or two and pick the one that you find most enjoyable. If you’re interested, you can purchase the expansion right now on the official store or through the Battle-net launcher.
