Most MMOs nowadays hold a Public Test Realm or PTR, which serves as a way to let players experience the upcoming content and report bugs and glitches. While this is good and a staple in game development, it is also dangerous as there’s a lot of unreleased information there. This is something that has always affected World of Warcraft. Usually, players get to see part of the story and characters that are coming in future patches. This is also a double-edged sword for Blizzard, as sometimes the story isn’t good for players and deters them from subscribing. This time around, there’s something better, though. Some voice lines from the PTR suggest that the Dracthyr Evoker might get a third specialization in WoW Dragonflight.
Wow Dragonflight Could Add a Third Specialization to the Dracthyr Evoker
As always, we should keep our expectations in check before jumping to conclusions. While the voice lines are almost a hard fact that something’s in the work, it could get scrapped at the last minute or saved for a later expansion. However, the Dracthyr Evoker has been a famous class in WoW Dragonflight, so that a third specialization could be good.

If this ends up happening, we think it would be great. While games like ESO and FFXIV let players choose whatever race and class they want without being locked, WoW took a step back in its latest expansion. The Evoker class is exclusive to Dracthyr due to lore reasons, so that is somewhat understandable. But, when the competition lets players choose whatever they want, it can be seen as a step back. Still, we truly hope that the Dracthy Evoker gets a third specialization in WoW Dragonflight. The expansion has been great so far with its Dragon Riding mechanics and setting. This is the win that Blizzard needed, and it seems that the MMO is staying strong so far. Time will tell, but we hope it stays like that.
