This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

The past years were rough for Blizzard’s MMO, but thanks to its latest expansion, it’s managed to redeem itself. Today, we got news regarding the Seeds of Renewal update, which will finally let players reclaim Gilneas in WoW Dragonflight. While other things are coming to this update, this is huge for Worgen players. Since we crossed the Greymane Wall, we wondered when we’d take it back. After 13 years, it seems the Worgen are ready to recapture their city. How they’ll do it is still uncertain, but everyone might be able to see it on the Public Test Realm later this week.

The information comes from the game’s X account, and it shows some of the things coming to the update. Besides the Gilnean reclamation questline, you can expect the following:

  • Dragonriding Unlocks Worldwide
  • Azerothian Archives
  • Reclaiming Gilneas
  • Dragonflight Follower Dungeons
  • Dragon Isle Epilogues

While many are waiting for the new expansion, there are plenty more things to come for Dragonflight, including doing dungeons with other NPCs, similar to what FFXIV has been doing. If you want to learn more about the upcoming features, you can check the game’s website for all the juicy details.

If you’ve been away from WoW Dragonflight, the quest to reclaim Gilneas might be a good excuse to revisit it. Besides, it is a perfect time to jump back in to prepare for The War Within, the first of the three future expansions for this legendary MMO.

In case you missed the last BlizzCon, the team behind World of Warcraft wants to start a new saga that will span many years and bring a lot of content in a new narrative arc. The plans for this MMO have never been so ambitious, and we can’t wait to see how they play out. If retail WoW isn’t your cup of tea, though, you can always jump into WoW Classic, which is getting its Cataclysm expansion next year.
